Registration for Football Camps and Clinics now underway

Seven sessions in three different instructional clinics available

Registration is now underway for the 10th Annual Northmont Thunderbolt Football Camp, Mike Schneider’s Quarterback Clinic, and the Northmont Receiver Clinic directed by Loren Meadows. All three camps will be staffed with some of the area’s best talent, including former players and successful coaches from current Northmont Staff and other programs in the area.

The Thunderbolt Camp, under the direction of Lance Schneider, offers a grade school session (grades 4-8) and a high school session (grades 9-12). The grade school session runs from 9:00am – 11:30am, while the high school session operates from 6-9pm. Both sessions are July 21-24. Coach Schneider’s record speaks for itself. His explosive Thunderbolt teams have broken many school offensive records, and produced Ohio’s second all-time leading receiver, in Carlton McFadgen and his 178 career receptions. In addition, 2007 marked their sixth consecutive GWOC division title. In all, Coach Schneider has been a part of eleven OHSAA playoff teams during his coaching career.

Mike Schneider’s Quarterback Clinic has three sessions. Sessions I and II are for grades 10-12 and Session III is for grades 7-9. Session I is June 10-11, session II is July 1-2, and session III is July 8-10. Coach Mike Schneider is directing his ninth QB clinic in addition to the renowned Ohio Passing Camp which he ran for 17 years. He is known throughout the Midwest for his passing attack offense. His passing-attack offenses have compiled nearly a 70% winning percentage and six Western Ohio League championships. Mike is the current quarterback coach at Northmont where his two most recent quarterbacks, Tyler Horner and Clay Belton, received Division-I scholarships.

Loren Meadows is the director of the Northmont Receiver Clinic. Coach Meadows brings 13 years of coaching experience to the Wide Receiver position, working at Ohio Northern University, Urbana University, and Northern High School in Durham, NC. He is currently the Wide Receivers coach at Northmont. Several of his players have earned All-American and All-Conference honors, as well as playing professionally. Coach Meadows has been a member of the MVFCA North All-Star coaching staff five of the past six seasons. The Receiver Clinic has two sessions (June 10-11 and July 1-2, both for grades 9-12) and will be held in conjunction with Mike Schneider’s Quarterback Clinic.
